GENERAL POLICY FOR ALL CONSUMERS AND MEMBERS

1. Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a concept in which consumers agree to purchase farm products from a group of farmers/ organizations/ businesses which are registered with Gorus OFA and who produce organic or eco-friendly products.
2. In the CSA concept, consumers understand that agriculture has its inherent risks and uncertainties that are related to changing climate, water availability, labour availability and incidence of pests and diseases, and therefore, the quantity, quality, and consistency of supply of the farm produce cannot be guaranteed.
3. As far as possible, Gorus OFA verifies and ascertains the authenticity of the farm produce and other products supplied by farmers/ organizations/ businesses from whom Gorus purchases the products.
4. In case of fresh produce, Gorus OFA, within its capacity as a “Local Group or LG” conducts annual “farm appraisals” as per the Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) protocol in order to ensure that the farmers who supply to Gorus OFA are using organic farming practices. PGS is recognized by the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM). Please visit www.pgsorganic.in for more information.
5. Consumers who wish to be part of the CSA programme (wherein they will receive a weekly basket of seasonal organic vegetables and optional grocery) can register on-line at www.gorus.in/my-account.
6. Consumers who do not wish to receive the weekly vegetable basket or reside outside Pune city can purchase only grocery, and can register on-line at www.gorus.in/my-account.
7. Upon registration, you will be informed within 72 hours whether your registration has been approved or declined. This depends partly on whether your delivery address is within our service area and on our logistics and supply scenario. Even if your registration is declined, as and when our supply and logistics scenario changes we will contact you.
8. Gorus OFA shall have the full discretion to accept or reject any application for CSA membership.
9. Gorus OFA uses www.ccavenue.com as its official payment gateway, and we do not have access to or store any data related to credit cards or debit cards of our customers.
10. All prices are inclusive of government tax, where applicable.

SHIPPING, CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

A.  CSA Members (Pune city only)

1. Only registered CSA members residing in Pune city can receive weekly delivery of organic vegetables.

2. Home delivery option is available only in certain areas of Pune city. In case Gorus cannot provide home delivery in your area, you can collect your basket from one of our designated pick-up points. For more information, please write to csa@gorus.in

3. Each CSA season will be of 9 weeks, wherein a basket of seasonal vegetables will be home-delivered each week, for 9 weeks.

4. CSA Seasons for 2015 are as follows:
Spring        06 Jan to 06 Mar 2015    (9 weeks)
Summer        10 Mar to 08 May 2015    (9 weeks)
Pre-monsoon    12 May to 10 Jul 2015    (9weeks)
Monsoon        21 Jul to 18 Sep 2015     (9 weeks)   
Pre-winter    22 Sep to 20 Nov 2015    (9 weeks)
Winter        24 Nov to 22 Jan 2016     (9 weeks)

5.    CSA members can choose from two basket sizes:

(a) Standard Basket (approx. 6 kg): a combination of 8 to 15 varieties of seasonal vegetables.
(b) Large Basket (approx. 8.5 kg): a combination of 8 to 15 varieties of seasonal vegetables.

6. The subscription for Standard Basket (9 weeks) is Rs. 3500/- and for Large Basket (9 weeks) it is Rs. 4850/- payable in advance by NEFT, Debit Card or Credit Card. These prices are valid till 20 Nov 2015. Prices are subject to change from time to time.

7. Only seasonal vegetables are grown or sourced, and the variety of vegetables supplied in the baskets will be as per availability.  Gorus OFA does not guarantee a minimum variety of vegetables in the Standard or the Large basket. However, it will be our endeavor to provide you the widest possible variety of seasonal vegetables, as far as possible.

8. The combination of vegetables in the baskets will be decided by Gorus as per availability from farmers.

9. CSA members will have the option of ‘excluding’ a maximum of 4 vegetables, which will not be put in their basket. To compensate, they will receive an extra portion of other vegetables or substitute vegetables, so that the weight of the basket approximates 6 kg or 8.5 kg as the case may be.

10. To tell us the vegetables you wish to exclude from your basket, please send us an email to: csa@gorus.in

11. Kindly note that the weight of fresh produce reduces during shipping, and therefore, we cannot guarantee that your basket will be exactly 6 kg or 8.5 kg for Standard and Large baskets respectively. Also, sometimes there may be deficit supply due to adverse weather conditions or other agricultural factors. At such times, the impact of deficit supply will be shared equally by all CSA members. On the other hand, when there is surplus supply, that will also be distributed equally amongst the CSA members to make up for the deficit supply, if any. This understanding is an integral part of how CSAs across the world function, wherein the consumers share the deficits as well as surpluses in agriculture, and thereby volunteer to bear part of the risk which otherwise is completely borne by farmers.

12. Your weekly vegetable basket along with your grocery order will be delivered on the following days, depending on your address:
TUE (Bavdhan, Baner, Pashan, Aundh, Panchavati, Bhosale Nagar, Koregaon Park, Kalyani Nagar, etc.)
FRI (Kothrud, Karvenagar, Warje, Deccan, Model Colony, Sinhagad road, Sahakarnagar, Swargate, etc.)

13.    Members receiving delivery on Tuesday must submit their orders before Saturday (10:00 AM).

14.    Members receiving delivery on Friday must submit their orders before Wednesday (10:00 AM).

15.    Grocery orders received after the above deadline will be automatically delivered on your regular delivery day of the following week.

16.    In case you are not at home at the time of delivery, your basket will be delivered to the designated person indicated by you (neighbor or security guard). Please write to us at csa@gorus.in to let us know who your designated person is.

17.    Once you register for a CSA season, weekly vegetable baskets cannot be cancelled, they can only be ‘gifted’ on your behalf. In case you are travelling and wish to gift your basket, you need to inform us by writing an email to csa@gorus.in at least 3 days prior to the date when you want the basket to be gifted. Your basket for that week will be ‘gifted’ to the person of your choice (your neighbor or relative or friend) as long as their address is within a 2 km radius of your house. CSA members can ‘gift’ a maximum of 2 baskets per season.

18.    If you are not satisfied with the quality of the vegetables, fruits, or grocery items supplied to you, kindly send us an email to csa@gorus.in, and clearly mention the Delivery date, Name(s) and Quantity of unsatisfactory items, and a brief description of the quality problem. In case of fresh produce or grocery where there are genuine quality issues, Gorus OFA will provide a full refund for those items within 21 days. In case of Grocery items, claims for refund will be considered only if the ‘best before’ date is valid on the day the claim is made. Claims made after the ‘best before’ date has lapsed shall not be considered.

19.    In addition to the weekly vegetable basket, CSA members will also be able to purchase fruits, fresh herbs, and grocery products on-line, which will be shipped along with their weekly vegetable basket.

20.    Payment for weekly vegetable baskets, fruits, fresh herbs and grocery products must be made at the time of placing the on-line order. Payment can be made by NEFT, Debit Card or Credit Card. Payment by cash or cheque will not be accepted. Orders will not be accepted over the phone or email.

21.    If the quantity of grocery item(s) supplied to you is less than what you were billed for, then Gorus OFA will supply the deficit quantity at the time of the next delivery. If we cannot supply the deficit quantity within 7 days because the item is out of stock or due to any other reason, then you will receive a refund on the deficit quantity within 14 days.

22.    In case any grocery item(s) are not delivered to you but you were billed for it, Gorus OFA will provide a full refund for the undelivered item(s) to your bank account within 21 days.

B.  Grocery Members (Pune city only)

1.    Grocery Members are customers who wish to regularly purchase grocery, but not the weekly vegetable basket.
2.    Free home delivery of grocery items is available for customers in Pune city and in certain areas only. For free home delivery, the minimum order value must be greater than Rs. 1000/- and your delivery address needs to be within reasonable distance of our regular delivery route.
3.    Regardless of your address, all orders between Rs. 700/- to Rs. 999/- will be charged Rs. 100/- for home delivery.
4.    Orders below Rs. 700/- will not be home delivered.
5.    For purchases below Rs. 700/- please contact 7774062002 and collect your order from our Head Office (1st Floor, Durga, 92/2, Gangote Path, Opp. Kamla Nehru Park, Erandwane, Pune 411004) or from one of our designated pick-up points.
6.    For Pune city, your grocery orders will be delivered on the following days, depending on your address:

14.    If the quantity of grocery item(s) supplied to you is less than what you were billed for, then Gorus OFA will supply the deficit quantity at the time of the next delivery. If we cannot supply the deficit quantity within 7 days because the item is out of stock or due to any other reason, then you will receive a refund on the deficit quantity within 14 days.
15.    Quality related claims on grocery items will be considered only if the ‘best before’ date of the product in question is valid on the day the claim is made. Claims made after the ‘best before’ date has lapsed shall not be considered.
16.    In case any grocery item(s) are not delivered to you but you were billed for it, then Gorus OFA will provide a full refund for the undelivered item(s) within 21 days.

C. Grocery Members (other than Pune city)

1.    Grocery Members are customers who wish to regularly purchase grocery. At present, Gorus OFA does not offer fresh vegetables in cities other than Pune.
2.    The minimum order value of your grocery must be more than Rs. 700/-
3.    Packaging and handling charges of Rs. 30/- per box will be applicable, and shipping charges will be extra.
4.    We use reliable third-party shipping/ courier/ transport services to deliver your orders.
Shipping/ courier/ transport charges will be charged extra at actual, and terms and conditions of the shipping/ courier/ transport company shall also apply.
5.    Deadline for submitting your orders is Monday 2:00 PM.
6.    Orders will be shipped out on Wednesday or as early as possible. LR number or Receipt Number of the shipping/ courier/ transport company will be sent to you by email or SMS.
7.    Grocery orders received after the above deadline will be automatically delivered on your regular delivery day of the following week.
8.    Payment for grocery products must be made at the time of placing the on-line order. Payment can be made by NEFT, Debit Card or Credit Card. Payment by cash or cheque will not be accepted. Orders will not be accepted over the phone or email.
